Centrifugal gold concentrator is a new type gravity concentrator.The principles of a centrifuge to enhance the gravitational force experienced by feed size to effect separation based on particle density. The key components of the unit are a cone shaped "concentrate" bowl, rotated at high speed by an electric motor and a pressurized water jacket encompassing the bowl.
The water jacket centrifugal concentrator is composed of ore feeding pipe, frame, tailings tank, driving motor, vertical shaft and beneficiation components. The beneficiation components are divided into inner and outer layers. The inner layer is a wearing cone. The inner cone is made of stainless steel with annular grid strip. There are many small holes on the cone wall, and the outer layer is made of ordinary steel plate, forming a closed water jacket with the inner layer.
It is an efficient equipment for recovering free gold in all particle size ranges, specially for recovery of fine gold which is lost during the operation of the gravity concentrators(sluice boxes and jig machine). It can be used not only for placer gold mining, but also for hard rock mining to recover the natural gold.
Application shows that the recovery can be as high as 99%, and the concentrating ratio is up to 1,000 times. In recovering the natural gold less than 0. 074mm, the gold is up to 98%, For 0.04mm feeding size, the gold recovery ratio can achieve 97%.
