How to select seaside sand ilmenite
Seaside sand is rich in a variety of metal minerals, which usually have high economic value. Mainly include:
Titanium minerals: such as ilmenite, which is an important component of seaside sand and one of the main sources of titanium resources.
Iron minerals: such as magnetite, which is a common iron mineral in seaside sand.
Zircon minerals: Zircon also has a high content in seaside sand and is an important raw material for extracting zirconium and hafnium.
Rare metal minerals: such as monazite, rutile, etc., these minerals contain rare earth elements and other rare metals and have high economic value.
Precious metal minerals: such as gold sand, platinum sand, etc., although the content is low, they have attracted much attention due to their high value.
1. Pretreatment
Before mineral selection, the seaside sand ore needs to be initially treated, including crushing, screening and washing. The purpose of these steps is to crush the raw ore into a particle size suitable for selection and remove the soil and impurities in it to improve the efficiency and accuracy of subsequent sorting.

2. Gravity separation method
Gravity separation is one of the important steps in the sorting of seaside sand ore, which mainly uses the density difference between mineral particles for separation. Common gravity separation equipment includes spiral chute, spiral separator, chute shaker, etc. These devices make mineral particles of different densities stratified and separated on the bed surface through the reciprocating motion of the bed surface and the action of flushing water flow, thereby effectively separating impurities and non-useful components such as sand and gravel in the ore and improving the grade of the ore.

3. Magnetic separation method
Magnetic separation uses the magnetization effect of the magnetic field on mineral particles, so that the magnetic mineral particles are moved by the magnetic force in the magnetic field, thereby realizing the separation of magnetic minerals from non-magnetic minerals. In the beneficiation of seaside sand ilmenite, magnetic separation is usually used to treat seaside sand ore with more iron minerals, such as titanomagnetite. Through magnetic separation, tin-iron separation or other magnetic minerals can be effectively achieved. However, due to the low content of magnetite, magnetic separation is usually used as an auxiliary means in the beneficiation process.

4. Electrostatic separation
Electrostatic separation is a method of separation using the charge and electrical differences of mineral particles in an electric field. In the beneficiation of seashore ilmenite, electrostatic separation is usually used to separate minerals with different electrical properties such as zircon and rutile. Electrostatic separation can further improve the separation accuracy and purity of minerals.
