Myanmar is located in the western part of the Indochina Peninsula in Southeast Asia, between the Indian Plate and the Eurasian Plate, with a complex regional tectonic background and superior mineralization geological conditions. The main minerals in Myanmar include antimony, chromium, nickel, copper, gold, lead, zinc, silver, tin, and tungsten.

The gold mineralization areas in Myanmar can be divided into three main metallogenic provinces (referred to as A, B, and C below) (as shown in the figure). The A mineralization province is located in the Wunzo fault block, and shallow low-temperature hydrothermal gold bearing quartz veins are mainly produced in a series of Neogene volcanic and sedimentary rocks. The mineral deposits discovered in this province include Bamauk, Pinlebu, Wuntho, Kawalin, and Kanbalu. The Kyaukpahto mine, located in the mineralization province, is the only mine in Myanmar that uses modern technology to mine gold. The ore body is located on the southeastern edge of the Wuntho fault block, and gold mineralization is distributed along the NW direction, developed in quartz of strongly silicified and angular sandstone.
The B mineralization province is located on the western and northern edges of the Shan Tanintharyi belt, and gold mineralization occurs in the early Cambrian ChaungMagyi shallow metamorphic sedimentary rock sequence and the older Mogok sequence of high-grade metamorphic rocks. The gold deposits discovered in this mineralization province include Thabeikyin, Phayaung Taung, Kyaukse Ye Yeman, and Pyinmana. Among them, the Phayaung Taung deposit is located 40 km north of Mandalay, with quartz as the gold bearing mineral and an ore resource of approximately 3 million tons, with a grade of 4.8 μ g/g. The ore deposit is a layer controlled ore body and is believed to have undergone reactivation and enrichment of gold under low-grade metamorphic conditions. The gold mineralization in C mineralization province is related to the volcanic rocks of the serpentinite suite. Gold deposits have been found in the serpentinite belt in northern and western Myanmar, but there is still relatively little research on this topic. The gold mineralization of the HmaingdaingTaung deposit east of Lemyethna and Tagaung is developed in the blue gray quartz veins of volcanic rocks, some of which are accompanied by copper mineralization. In addition, the Kyaukphyu area near the Shwegu region of Kachin state is also rich in gold deposits, with gold mineralization located at the contact zone between volcanic rocks and gabbro rocks.

Overview of sand gold production line Sand gold mining is a complex system engineering that requires the design of reasonable process flows based on the characteristics of different ore bodies and production scales. The sand gold production line described in this article adopts a process flow of "ore washing+screening+jigs/agitation chutes+sticky gold chutes+shaker, centrifuge optional", which balances processing efficiency and recovery rate, and is suitable for mining operations of small and medium-sized sand gold mines. 2, Core equipment configuration and process flow 1 The ore washing process is the first step in sand gold processing, with the main purpose of separating gold bearing materials from clay and gravel. According to different processing capacities, small production lines can be selected: using drum washing machines with a processing capacity of 10-50 tons/hour. Medium production lines: equipped with trough washing machines with a processing capacity of 50-200 tons/hour. Large production lines: using a combination of vibrating washing screens with a processing capacity of 200-500 tons/hour. The washing process requires control of water pressure and water volume to fully disperse materials while avoiding the loss of fine-grained gold.

2. The screening equipment of the screening system is usually set up in two stages according to the subsequent process requirements: the first stage screening: 20-30mm aperture, and the second stage screening for separating large gravel: 2-5mm aperture. It is recommended to use a double-layer vibrating screen for separating medium and fine-grained materials, with an upper screen of 30mm and a lower screen of 3mm, which can complete two stages of screening at the same time, saving space and energy consumption. 3. Re select core equipment configuration (1) Jig and agitation chute selection Jig: suitable for processing materials with a particle size range of 3-25mm, with a recovery rate of over 85%. Recommend sawtooth wave jigs for better recovery of fine gold particles. Agitation chute: It has obvious advantages in processing 0.5-5mm fine-grained materials, saving water and energy, and is suitable for water scarce areas.

For ores with high gold content, it is recommended to use a jigs in series with an agitation chute, first jigs and then chutes, to achieve full coverage of particle size. (2) The sticky gold chute, as an auxiliary recovery equipment, mainly captures the fine gold particles that escape during the front-end process. Using mercury coated copper plate or special velvet blanket lining, with a tilt angle of 10-15 ° and a length of 3-5 meters. (3) The selection of the shaking table adopts a 6-S shaking table or a Yunxi shaking table to process the coarse concentrate obtained from the previous reselection, which can increase the gold grade to over 90%. For fine-grained gold mines, it is recommended to use ultra-fine shaking tables.
(4) Centrifuge (optional) Recommended model: Water jacket centrifugal beneficiation machine Applicable conditions: When the content of fine gold particles in the ore is high, it is recommended to configure the installation position: usually placed in front of the shaker as a pre selection equipment.
