Drum scrubber for washing clay gold ore

Product Overview
Drum scrubber (also named rotary scrubber / trommel scrubber) is the core heavy-duty washing equipment specially designed for high-viscosity clay alluvial gold ore, laterite gold and mud-caked gravel gold deposits widely seen in Africa, Southeast Asia and South America gold mines.
It differs fundamentally from simple trommel screen:
Front long solid scrubbing drum (no screen holes) with internal lifting baffles for intensive mud breaking
Rear short trommel screen section for grading after full clay dispersion Perfect to process ore with 30%–65% sticky red clay/laterite, solves screen blinding and mud ball wrapping fine gold problems thoroughly.

2. Working Principle
Raw clay gold gravel is fed into the inclined solid scrubbing drum together with plenty of high-pressure water.
Internal wear-resistant lifting plates lift & drop ore continuously; rocks collide, grind and rub against each other (autogenous scrubbing force), breaking hard clay balls mechanically.
Full-length internal high-pressure water jets strip clay coatings off gold grains, turning sticky mud into free-flowing slurry; long material retention time ensures complete clay dissociation.
Washed ore flows to the rear screen section: fine gold-bearing slurry passes through mesh for downstream gravity separation; oversize barren stones discharge as tailings directly.

3. Main Structure
Feeding Hopper: Thick Q235 wear-resistant steel plate, optional grizzly bar to block extra-large boulders
Solid Scrubbing Drum Body: Thickened manganese steel cylinder, replaceable rubber/steel lifting baffles inside
High-Pressure Water System: Full-length spray pipes, adjustable water pressure 0.2–0.6MPa
Screening Section (Rear Trommel): Modular PU/high manganese steel screen panels, customizable mesh size
Driving System: Heavy-duty gear drive / friction rubber roller drive, large torque for sticky ore load
Support Frame: Heavy channel steel base; optional wheel/trailer mobile chassis for site transfer
Double Discharge Outlets: Fine slurry outlet + coarse waste rock outlet
4. Core Competitive Advantages
Superior clay removal performance Only drum scrubber can handle ultra-sticky laterite clay ore; desliming efficiency over 95%, fully liberate fine gold trapped inside mud balls, improve gold recovery rate by 15%–25% vs ordinary trommel screen.
No screen clogging trouble All mud is broken and washed away in solid front drum before screening; screen mesh never blocked by sticky clay, reduce frequent shutdown cleaning.
Heavy-duty continuous operation Thick drum wall, oversized bearings and gear system, stable 24h running for large-scale gold washing plant, feed size up to 230mm.
Simplify whole washing flow Integrated intensive scrubbing + grading in one unit; no extra pre-washing tank needed, cut civil construction investment.
Flexible configuration options Custom drum diameter/length, screen aperture, fixed/mobile trailer type, electric/diesel power supply for remote mining sites.
Low maintenance cost Modular wear plates and screen panels for fast replacement, long service life 5–8 years.
5. Matching Gold Washing Process
Raw clay gold ore → Drum Scrubber (intensive mud breaking + washing + grading)
Fine underflow slurry: Centrifugal gold concentrator / gold sluice box → shaking table for high-grade gold concentrate
Coarse waste rock: Direct tailings discharge.
