Product Overview
Gold trommel screen (rotary drum screen) is the primary washing & grading core equipment for alluvial/placer gold washing plants, widely applied in river sand gold, mountain gravel gold, eluvial gold mines. It integrates high-pressure ore washing and particle size classification in one machine, separating barren coarse waste rock from gold-bearing fine slurry, and feeds qualified fine materials to downstream gravity separation machines (centrifugal gold concentrator, sluice box, shaking table) to boost gold recovery rate.
Two mainstream types for gold mines:
Standard Trommel Screen: For low-clay loose gravel ore, light-duty, low power consumption
Trommel Scrubber (Washing Trommel): Built-in internal lifting baffles, strong scrubbing force, specially for high-viscosity clay-coated gold ore to break mud balls thoroughly
Available in stationary fixed type and mobile wheeled/trailer type for flexible site transfer.
Working Principle
Raw gold gravel is fed into the inclined rotary drum via feed hopper; built-in high-pressure water spray pipes continuously flush materials inside the cylinder.
Slow rotation of the drum makes ore tumble, collide and rub mutually; mud and clay coatings are stripped off completely by hydraulic impact and mechanical scrubbing.
Fine gold-bearing particles pass through screen mesh and fall into underflow hopper to form gold slurry; large barren stones roll forward along the inclined drum and discharge as tailings at the drum end.
Rotation bouncing effect prevents screen hole blockage, stable screening efficiency even with wet sticky materials.

Driving System: Motor + K series reducer + rubber roller friction drive, low noise, stable operation
High-pressure Water System: Internal full-length spray pipes, supporting large water flow washing
Support Frame & Mobile Chassis: Heavy channel steel frame; wheel/trailer mobile frame for portable mining
Discharge Chute: Separate underflow slurry outlet and oversize tailings outlet
