What is the structure of a trommel scrubber?

A trommel scrubber mainly consists of a rotating drum, a driving mechanism, a supporting device, a lining plate, and other parts. The following is a detailed introduction:
Rotary Drum: It is the core component of the trommel scrubber, usually made of high-quality carbon steel or alloy structural steel through rolling and automatic welding. The drum can adopt an integral or segmented flange connection structure. There are often holes or screens on the inner wall of the drum for separating the washed ore and waste water.

Driving Mechanism: It includes a motor, a reducer, and a gear or belt drive device. The motor drives the reducer, and then the reducer drives the drum to rotate at a low speed through the gear or belt, so as to realize the washing operation of the ore. Some trommel scrubbers are also equipped with a slow-drive device, and the slow-drive motor has a braking function.
Supporting Device: There are usually three types of supporting devices for the drum, namely, roller support, slipper bearing support, and tire support. The roller support is composed of a rolling ring (tyre), supporting rollers , and thrust rollers; the slipper bearing support is composed of a hydraulic station and slipper bearings; the tire support is supported by tires.

Lining Plate: The lining plate is installed on the inner wall of the drum. Its material can be rubber or steel. The lining plate is set at a certain angle, which can continuously lift and drop the ore, increase the friction and washing effect of the ore, and at the same time protect the inner wall of the drum from wear.

Feeding and Discharging Devices: The feeding device is used to feed the ore into the drum. The discharging device is located at the end of the drum. After the ore is washed, it is discharged through the screen on the drum, and the waste water containing sludge flows out through the perforated baffle at the feeding or discharging end.
Electrical Control System: It is used to control the operation of the trommel scrubber, including starting, stopping, speed regulation, etc., to ensure the normal operation of the equipment.
