Working Principle of Horizontal Rotary Scrubber with Tyre Friction Drive
The drum is installed horizontally without inclination. The interior is fitted with feed guide plates, middle lifting plates and discharge guide plates. Instead of gear drive, multiple motor-reducer sets drive active tyres. The tyres press against the riding ring of drum and rotate the drum by friction force.
Raw ore and washing water enter the drum. Feed guide plates push materials into the middle scrubbing zone. Lifting plates lift ore and make it tumble repeatedly. Rock-on-rock impact and friction break sticky clay lumps and strip slime off mineral surfaces. Discharge guide plates convey scrubbed mixture to the integrated trommel screen. Coarse waste rock is discharged as oversize, fine mineral slurry passes through screen holes for downstream gravity separation. Tyre friction drive offers overload protection; multiple motors share heavy load for stable operation.
