Spiral concentrate
Spiral chute is a gravity separation equipment, no moving parts, no motor power.
Slurry is fed from the top, flowing down along the helical trough. Under gravity, centrifugal force, friction and hydrodynamic action, high specific gravity heavy minerals settle to the bottom and migrate to the inner edge of the spiral (concentrate zone). Light gangue minerals are carried to the outer edge by water flow (tailings zone). Middling is collected in the middle band. At the bottom, adjustable splitters separate concentrate, middling and tailings. No extra wash water required during separation.
