The gravity separator has a variety of structural forms, but its main separation function is realized by using the density difference between the production medium and the separated substance (that is, the weight difference in the gravity field), so it is called a gravity separator.
Gravity separators can be divided into two-phase separation (gas-liquid separation) and three-phase separation (oil-gas-water separation) according to their functions. According to the shape, it can be divided into vertical separator, horizontal separator and spherical separator.
