Placer gold beneficiation primarily utilizes the high density of gold through gravity separation. The core process is as follows:
1. Crushing and Screening: First, a drum screen separates large gravels and impurities from the raw ore.
2. Washing and Desliming: High-pressure water jets wash the ore sand, separating and discharging fine slurry to enrich gold-bearing heavy minerals.
3. Roughing: The enriched slurry is fed into sluices or jigs to initially separate most of the gold and heavy minerals, obtaining crude gold or heavy mineral concentrate.

4. Cleaning: The heavy mineral concentrate obtained from roughing is further refined using shaking tables to improve the gold grade.
5. Purification: Finally, pure gold is separated through manual panning, amalgamation, smelting, or other methods.
Core Principle: The entire process follows the principle of "crushing before screening, multi-stage separation, from coarse to fine," with the core being the use of water scouring and gravity to separate gold from other lighter minerals.
